| Location | Mt. Vernon: 17 S. Taylor Road. Route 27 north from Augusta. Take a left on Rt 211(Castle Island Road. Go straight through 1st 4 way stop, and continue to a second stop sign. Take a left onto Old Belgrade Road and go approx 2 miles. Take a left on Bean Road and go approx 2 miles. Take a right on South Taylor Road and then take the first driveway on the left. Signs will be posted. |

| Description of Activities | The farm is located on 15 acres in the heart of Mt. Vernon. With a herd of 6 alpacas and 1 guard llama they are committed to raising the highest quality alpacas focusing on sound health and exceptional fiber. There will be an introduction to raising alpacas, including economic and environmental benefits, open discussions on starting an alpaca farm, building an alpaca shelter, and pasture setup. There will be samples of alpaca fleece, spinning demonstrations, refreshments and yarn for sale. |
