| Location | Sumner: 106 Black Mountain Road. From Route 26 go east on Route 219 approximately 7 miles. Turn left at "Litchfield General Store" sign. Less than 2 miles the road turns left, then bear left after 1/4 mile onto Black Mountain Road. Farm is 1 mile on the left. From Route 4 in Turner turn west onto 117 to Buckfield (9 miles). Turn right after Tilton's Store, cross bridge and right onto Route 140. North on 140 - 5 miles to "T". Turn left on Route 219. Go 5 miles to Litchfield General Store. Turn right and follow directions above. |

| Description of Activities | This 30 acre diversified farm uses a Belgian draft horse to harvest firewood and sap for maple sugaring. They have a small-scale maple syrup operation and laying hens. There will be farm tours with discussion of the traditional joinery timber frame barn, pastured poultry, rotational grazing to improve pasture, and growing towards sustainability using organic methods. The farm's fiber is hand and mill spun to yarn. There will be felting demonstrations. The farm store will be open. |
